A whirlwind of life events have happened, and I can't believe a year has gone by. My Aunt Mope passed away a year ago today. My Uncle Louie gave me a stack of photos to restore, and this is the only one I have completed. When I said yes I didn't take into account the emotional ramifications of spending so much time with her. As hard as it was; it was that much more cathartic to meditate on tiny fibers of an image while cleaning it up. The process helped me heal and come to grips with my loss.
This particular image is my Uncle's favorite. Which is why I choose this one to start with. It is degraded because of all the years it has spent in his wallet. It has been a permanent fixture in between his billfold since 1967. She was a Mod beauty and I miss her.
