A Continual Education

MOM INC. The Essential Guide to Running a Successful Business from Home

By Meg Mateo Ilasco and Cat Seto (Former Michigander in the house!!)

Between the slew of Murder Mysteries and Steamy Romance Novels, I try to educate myself further on my business practices, and techniques. MOM INC. has been great in that it lays out business processes in a really understandable way. Which is SUPER important for a person with Baby Brain ( I know he's one, but it just permeates your brain with a ferocity!) They break down how to price your product, creating a budget, setting up business and marketing plans.

One of my favorite aspects of the book is that they highlight a working entrepreneur who has been in the thick of it. It is helpful to hear from their perspective. I think I would have liked to hear more about their trials and tribulations with the balance of Motherhood and the job. That is currently where I struggle the most. Overall I really recommend this book to mothers who are trying to hustle from home.

Next up is Blog Inc. by Joy Deangdeelert Cho, whose fun and hip aesthetic I love.
