This winter, I decided to finally practice what I preach. I booked a “Motherhood Session” with Plymouth based photographer Karra of Karra Lynn Films and Photos. I had all the same nerves you do when you book a session. What to wear, will my kids cooperate, will I have double chins and be awkward in my skin?
Well, I figured out what to wear. I even messaged Karra with the outfits to make sure they would work. Bug was his cordial, rambunctious self and Bean was a smiley bean. I wasn’t nearly as awkward as I anticipated, and Karra’s guidance and reassurance were so helpful throughout the session.
Something to note and a subject that is SO important to me is that Karra made this possible for me by offering a payment plan. I think it is so important to note how critical it is to provide payment plans. That is why I advocate for them in my business. I am in the thick of motherhood and know how costly it can be to make the investment. But let me tell you; it is so important.
Lastly, and most importantly, I am in love with the pictures Karra took of my little ones and me. They illustrate a time in my life that is so precious to me. I cannot wait to get some prints up on my wall, because another thing I advocate with you all is print your pictures! So I will be hanging up the gorgeous images she took.
So if you are on the fence on taking the leap on family photos, I wholeheartedly recommend investing. If not in yourself but for your little ones and the memories you are making in this season of your life. It is so very worth it.
A huge thank you to Karra for seeing me and photographing my babies.
