Things to do During Your Fall Documentary Session
Am I the only one waiting for the year's first colder day to restart Gilmore Girls? It’s the perfect fall show and embraces so many fall funtivities, all of which can be done before the arrival of the first snow! Each one of these activities, and trust me when I say there are so many, makes for the perfect fall family documentary session! Let’s deep dive into my personal favorites!
Fall Colors
One of my favorite ways to celebrate fall is to embrace those gorgeous fall colors. Throw on your favorite chunky sweater, grab your best beanie, and let’s embrace that chill in the air! The activities during sweater weather are endless. Let’s grab some coffee and make the rounds at a local bookshop. We can roast some marshmallows around a campfire at sunset. Or just take a walk through the trees as they turn into those breathtaking fall colors. I vote we all live our best Gilmore Girls lives and do all the fall things with all the coffee!
Fall Leaves
Those fall colors have to go somewhere, right?! A fall leaf documentary session is a quintessential fall activity. Running through a pile of leaves, throwing leaves, and making leaf angels all make great images! However you decide to fall into the fall foliage, it is going to be magical!
Carving Pumpkins
Carving pumpkins is THE fall activity and perfect for a documentary session! Think about all the faces made as you stick your hand into the gooey insides of the pumpkin or as you draw your silly designs on your pumpkin! There are so many opportunities to make memories and have them captured in the process! How do you make this session even better? Start the session by picking out your pumpkins! I can just see the faces now as your littles try to hoist their pumpkins into the wagon!
Picking Apples
Speaking of picking! Let’s go pick, bob for, and enjoy some apples! Going to an orchard for a fall activity comes with so many opportunities! Yes, you’ll be picking apples! But most orchards also have a variety of activities for the whole family! Ok, I’ve only been to one apple orchard during the summer, so if these are way off, feel free to change to actual activities 🤦🏻♀️ Bobbing for apples, shooting apples out of a cannon and tractor rides are just a few of the activities most orchards have.
You guys, my heart can’t take all the funtivities fall has to offer. So many things to do, which gives me so many opportunities to capture you and your family. However you decide to embrace fall, I’m here for it!
